Indian railways get tough on ticket violators

Indian railways have started apprehending people that travel without tickets. In the month of August 273 people were caught without tickets and fined over Rs. 69000. The railway authorities said action against unauthorized travel will continue.

To facilitate people more ticketing offices are established at busy stations to reduce the wait time. One such counter is established at the Pune Station on experimental basis.
